Job summary

HealthMark Group in Marquette, MI is seeking an entry-level Medical Records Processing Specialist to join our onsite team. Responsibilities include processing ROI requests, maintaining 100% ROI accuracy, and meeting tight turnaround times.

You'll handle PHI securely, follow HIPAA regulations, and provide excellent customer service to clients and patients. The role offers a $1,000 sign-on bonus paid after 180 days and a chance to grow with a fast-paced health IT company.

Responsibilities

• Complete all incoming ROI requests in a timely and efficient manner.
• Maintain 100% ROI accuracy.
• Complete all STATs within an hour and maintain a 24-hour turnaround for other ROI requests.
• Keep all queues current.
• Validate requests and authorize release of PHI per procedures.
• Perform quality checks on all work for accuracy, confidentiality, and invoicing.
• Maintain confidentiality and security of PHI during transport, storage, and disposal.
• Complete legal affidavits and questions as needed.
• Regularly scan ROI requests into chart.
• Abide by ROI policy for HealthMark and clients.
• Maintain a neat, professional appearance and adhere to client dress code.
• Keep a clean and orderly work area; properly store records and ensure supplies.
• Maintain and update facility guide as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and de-escalate issues as needed.
• Communicate effectively with customers and achieve maximum satisfaction.
• Assist clients, patients, and requestors with status updates via phone.
