Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a professional interpreter to facilitate communication for patients and families across languages at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary. The role includes both interpretation and translation of patient materials, pre-operative and discharge instructions, and follow-up care information.

You will join a team ensuring accurate, empathetic communication and compliance with medical interpreting ethics, supporting appointment reminders and navigation services as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare interpreting preferred.
• Accurate documentation of interpretation encounters.
• Professional conduct and adherence to ethics for medical interpreters.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate interpretation between staff and patients and families.
• Coordinate and provide staff training on telephone interpretation services.
• Answer calls promptly and conduct interpretation professionally.
• Help LEP patients navigate the hospital and understand forms.
• Assist with scheduling or dispatching interpreters for assignments.
