Job summary

Mass General Brigham is seeking a professional medical interpreter to facilitate communication for patients and families across languages. You will interpret and translate materials, collaborate with interpreters, and support patient education and care coordination.

The role requires a Medical Interpreter Certificate, 2–3 years healthcare interpreting experience preferred, and a schedule that includes on-site work at Mass Eye and Ear locations. High school diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Interpreter Certificate required; National certificate preferred.
• 2–3 years healthcare interpreting experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide interpretation for patient and family communications across languages.
• Coordinate and train staff on telephone interpretation services.
• Answer calls promptly and interpret in a friendly, professional manner.
• Assist LEP patients in navigating the hospital and completing forms.
• May take on-call interpretation for emergencies.
