Job summary

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Customer service experience and data entry/general clerical experience required.
• Medical or laboratory experience preferred.
• Computer experience a must.

Responsibilities

• Verify correct patient information & branch comments.
• Follow-up with physicians/patients as necessary.
• Keep supervisor advised on the status of all client services projects or problems within the department.
• Make recommendations on improving operational procedures.
• Work independently in problem solving and troubleshooting.
• Conduct themselves in confidential manner in accordance with HIPAA mandates.
• Provide training and guidance to new personnel in telephone procedures and department tasks/operations.
• Maintain professional interpersonal skills with patients and physicians and establish good rapport with other departments.
• Assist in maintaining accurate records and patient documentation on a timely basis.
• Maintain knowledge of all computer functions and operations and changes to Client Services software and internet operations.
• Serve as a resource to other Client Services representatives on software matters.
• Perform other duties as required.
