Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago's Hyde Park area is seeking a dedicated Medical Assistant for its Urology team at the Mitchell- Hyde Park clinic. This 100% onsite role supports care coordination, patient liaison, and clinical tasks under RN/APN/physician supervision.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, vaccines, EKGs, collecting specimens, documenting care, and assisting with phlebotomy. Requirements include HS diploma, CPR, CMA credential, and experience in community health.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience preferred.
• Experience in a community health setting preferred.
• Graduate of CMA program; CMA credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care as assigned by RN or physician.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform tests such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and hemoccults.
• Document all aspects of patient care per hospital policies.
• Perform phlebotomy and assist with specimen collection and labeling.
• Maintain accurate patient records and coordinate with care teams.
