Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Current CPR certification required.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience in a community health setting preferred.
• Completion of CMA-recognized Medical Assistant program preferred.
• CMA credential required or strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care duties as assigned by RN or physician.
• Document patient care accurately per hospital policies.
• Record vital signs and obtain/record vitals.
• Perform tests such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and hemocults as applicable.
• Perform phlebotomy services and collect specimens with proper labeling/logging.
• Educate patients and families as delegated by the RN or physician.
• Other duties as assigned.
