UChicago Medicine is seeking a Medical Assistant for the Endocrinology Team at the Hyde Park clinic. This 100% onsite role supports the patient care team under supervision of RN, APN, or physician, handling vaccines, vital signs, EKGs, and record-keeping.

Responsibilities include phlebotomy, specimen labeling, and executing education as delegated. Requires CMA credential or completion of a certified MA program, CPR certification, and community health experience.

Qualifikationen

• Must have completed high school or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy experience required.
• Experience in a community health setting.
• Graduate of a CMA credential program.

Aufgaben

• Know and practice the Pride Values and Patient Centered Care Definition.
• Perform direct patient care duties as assigned by RN/physician.
• Document patient care per hospital policies.
• Obtain and record vital signs.
• Perform tests such as pregnancy tests, urinalysis, and hemoccults.
• Document all aspects of patient care.
• Perform phlebotomy services.
• Assist with collection and labeling of specimens as per standards.
