Job summary

myPlace Health in California is seeking a Medical Assistant to support participant intake, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, and clinic flow within a PACE program. The role requires an active California MA license and 2+ years’ clinical experience, with phlebotomy and CPR certifications preferred.

The position offers an onsite work mode, base salary range of $22.00–$27.00 per hour, an annual bonus program, comprehensive medical/dental/vision coverage, generous PTO, 11 holidays plus a floating

Qualifications

• Active California Medical Assistant license.
• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (PACE/geriatrics preferred).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Perform participant intake, rooming, routine vital signs, and required screenings.
• Prepare participants for provider exams and assist with clinic flow to ensure timely visits.
• Perform ordered clinical procedures (phlebotomy, specimen handling, point-of-care testing, EKGs).
• Support immunization administration workflows and maintain documentation.
• Observe participant condition and communicate changes to the clinical team.
• Document care activities in the EMR.
• Coordinate follow-ups and external appointments; assist with referrals and authorizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinical areas; complete clinic logs.
• Assist with inventory and supplies in collaboration with Clinic Supervisor.
• Follow HIPAA, PACE/CMS/DHCS and internal policies.
