Job summary

myPlace Health seeks a skilled Medical Assistant to support PACE participants in a center-based setting. This onsite role covers intake, rooming, vital signs, phlebotomy, and EMR documentation while collaborating with the Interdisciplinary Team to coordinate care.

The position emphasizes elderly patient care, efficient clinic flow, accurate procedures, and compliance with HIPAA and CMS guidelines. Base pay ranges $22–$27 per hour with full benefits.

Qualifications

• Active California Medical Assistant license.
• 2+ years of experience as a Medical Assistant in a clinical setting (PACE/geriatrics preferred).
• Phlebotomy certification preferred.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within 60 days).

Responsibilities

• Perform participant intake, rooming, routine vital signs, and required screenings per protocol.
• Prepare participants for provider exams and assist with clinic flow for timely visits.
• Perform ordered clinical procedures within scope (phlebotomy, specimen handling, point-of-care testing, EKGs).
• Support immunization workflows per guidelines and maintain documentation.
• Document care activities, assessments, and communications in the EMR.
• Coordinate follow-ups and external appointments; assist with referrals and authorizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and clinic areas; assist with inventory and supplies.
