Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller seeks an Engineer Technician I for an onsite role in Indianapolis, IN. Under close supervision, you will support the Engineering department by performing assembly, wiring, testing, and documentation tasks on standard product lines.

You will create drawings and BOMs, assist with diagnostics and maintenance, process releases and change orders, and travel to customer sites to support commissioning and startup of industrial equipment.

Qualifications

• AA degree preferred in engineering design or related field.
• 0-2 years of experience in a related engineering role is desirable.
• Must be able to work in a team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide production shop support including assembly, wiring, testing of equipment.
• Develop engineering drawings and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using company standards.
• Assist with diagnostics, calibration and maintenance procedures.
• Process engineering releases, change orders, redlines and ECRs.
• Travel to customer sites to support commissioning and startup.
