Job summary

Alliance Machine Systems International, LLC seeks an Engineer Technician I for its Indianapolis, IN site. This entry-level role provides support to the Engineering department under supervision, assisting with assembly, testing, and documentation.

You will work with mechanical engineers on standard product lines, develop diagrams, BOMs, and assist with calibration and maintenance procedures. A foundation in CAD and drawing interpretation is required, with onsite travel to customer sites as needed.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of related experience preferred.
• General knowledge of mechanical and control components and standard engineering procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical/electrical drawings and schematics.
• Proficient with 2-D CAD (AutoCAD or equivalent) and 3-D CAD (SolidWorks).
• Proficient with Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience with Epicor is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide production shop support including assembly, wiring, troubleshooting, and testing of equipment.
• Assist with drawings, layouts, and non-critical component designs under supervision.
• Provide technical assistance to resolve engineering problems pre- and post-construction.
• Collaborate with engineers to define and solve developmental problems.
• Create and maintain BOMs and documentation per company standards.
• Support calibration, diagnostics, and maintenance procedures.
