Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group is seeking an Electrical Engineering Technician to support capital projects and help deliver engineered solutions. You will work with experienced teams to collect design/build packages, liaise with operations, engineering and manufacturing, and create BOMs for non-engineered solutions.

Travel may be required regionally. A degree in Electrical Technology and experience with Allen-Bradley hardware are valued as part of a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills in design, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to handle multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Clear communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and networks is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Validate engineered solutions.
• Collect entire design packages and build packages.
• Act as liaison between Operations, Engineering and Manufacturing.
• Schedule and execute engineering and manufacturing handoff meetings.
• Create Bills of Materials for non-engineered solutions.
• Interface with client and distributor representatives.
• Research alternate electrical components to optimize delivery, design and cost.
• Assist in designing custom Industrial Control Panels based on criteria.

In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

You’ll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients.

• Validate Engineered solutions

• Create Bills of Materials for non-engineered solutions
• Interface with our client and distributor representatives

What You’ll Bring

• 1+ year(s) of related industrial automation fabrication experience.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to be applied in design, fabrication, and troubleshooting of systems.
• This position requires the ability to successfully execute multiple project responsibilities with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills are required.
• This position supports the entire engineering team and reports directly to the Engineering Manager.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley hardware and networks is a plus but not a requirement.
• A Degree in Electrical Technology or equivalent experience.

Travel Requirements Regional travel may be required on a sporadic basis to support regional projects and activities.
