Job summary

Ultimate Staffing seeks a motivated Sales Engineer to support existing customers, prepare technical quotations, and manage orders. The role acts as a liaison between customers and production, ensuring accurate, timely project delivery.

Onsite in Milford, CT, Monday–Friday 8–5, not a cold-calling role. Ideal candidates hold a Mechanical Engineering degree with 2–3 years in a technical sales or engineering support capacity, strong communication, and problem-solving skills, plus familiarity with

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
• 2–3 years of experience in sales engineering, manufacturing, engineering support, or a related technical role.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and revision documents.
• Strong communication, customer service, and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP/order management systems preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and submit technical quotations based on customer specifications and requirements.
• Respond to customer inquiries and provide technical support throughout the sales and production process.
• Follow up on quotations and customer orders.
• Review revision drawings and engineering change notices for accuracy.
• Enter and process orders within company systems.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure on-time delivery of customer orders.
• Communicate revision changes and project updates to customers and internal departments.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through exceptional service and communication.
• Monitor order status and proactively address potential delays or issues.
