Job summary

XPS is seeking a Mechanical Engineer to support the planning, coordination, and execution of large-scale hyperscale data center development programs. This role will sit onsite as the owner's technical representative, delivering mission-critical projects from design through construction.

The engineer will collaborate with internal leadership, external consultants, and contractors to maintain engineering intent, manage RFIs, submittals, and field coordination across multiple active sites.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in mechanical engineering or mission-critical project delivery.
• Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure and construction coordination.
• Ability to work onsite full-time within active construction environments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate mechanical design progression and construction administration at 1-2 hyperscale data center sites.
• Support onsite execution as the owner's technical representative.
• Resolve design and construction challenges with contractors and consultants.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, and field coordination items.
• Coordinate HVAC, controls, plumbing, and civil infrastructure.
• Ensure installations meet design intent and specifications.
• Support schedule alignment and milestone execution.
• Participate in site walks, meetings, commissioning, issue resolution.
• Maintain project continuity between design and construction teams.
• Contribute to reporting and documentation across lifecycle.
