Job summary

Strategic Mission Critical is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for on-site oversight of large-scale data center construction in the El Paso area. You will coordinate with contractors, clients, and the design team to ensure timely design execution, RFIs resolution, and submittal reviews.

The ideal candidate has extensive HVAC design and construction/commissioning experience, strong communication, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in mechanical engineering or architectural engineering with a mechanical focus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee on-site execution of SMC’s design work, coordinating with contractors, clients, and design partners from all disciplines.
• Review RFIs, submittals, and shop drawings to ensure accuracy and timely delivery.
• Coordinate with internal and external disciplines for project coordination and problem solving.
• Mentor and train engineers, designers, and modelers to develop mechanical field knowledgebase.
