Job summary

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Infrastructure Support on site at Windsor Locks, CT. The role involves documenting and upgrading mechanical infrastructure, including chilled water and steam systems, and coordinating with electrical and structural teams for new equipment installations.

You will support in-house staff, assist in bi-annual shutdowns, and contribute to safety and reliability of facilities operations. Requires STEM degree with 2+ years of relevant experience or an advanced degree.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree.
• Relevant engineering experience.
• Experience in CAD (AutoCAD preferred).
• Experience working with chilled water systems and/or steam systems.
• Experience with creating P&ID, mechanical system layouts, and piping diagrams.
• Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

• Support infrastructure upgrades and maintenance.
• Document existing mechanical infrastructure (Chilled Water, Tower Water, Steam, Compressed Air, etc.).
• Support in-house personnel as needed.
• Work closely with other disciplines (electrical, structural, etc.) to coordinate new equipment installations.
• Support bi-annual site shutdown project coordination.
