Job summary

Hoffman Construction Co of America seeks a Life Safety Systems Construction Manager to lead the Electrical Team onsite in Childress, TX. The role requires strong leadership, extensive experience in industrial/high-tech electrical construction, and the ability to oversee startups, documentation, and budgets.

Qualifications

• Five+ years electrical construction experience.
• Experience in industrial/hi-tech semiconductor environments preferred.
• Experience in live high-tech facilities required.
• LEED Accredited Professional, or able to become accredited within 18 months preferred.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Education background in materials and methods of construction.

Responsibilities

• Oversee electrical subcontractor and vendor installation daily to maintain schedule and commissioning activities.
• Interface between Area Construction Managers and subcontractors to coordinate mechanical/electrical startups.
• Verify documentation is complete and equipment is startup-ready.
• Coordinate MEP systems with civil, architectural, and structural elements.
• Organize training for client personnel in operations and maintenance of MEP systems.
• Lead startup meetings with stakeholders to drive MEP startup activities.
• Review submittals and coordinate between submittals for accuracy and functionality.
• Receive and distribute RFIs and change documents.
• Field survey of control lines and benchmarks.
• Be the onsite technical advisor in field office.
• Assist in estimating electrical budgets and staffing.
• Secure electrical subcontractor buyout and manage contracts/modifications.
