Job summary

CEC Companies is seeking a Material Handler in Irving, TX to move tools and materials on construction sites and company facilities, assist with deliveries, inventory, and keep areas organized and safe. This is a hands-on role that requires planning, problem solving, and a strong safety focus.

The position may involve overtime, nights, or weekends. A valid driver’s license and forklift/DOT certifications (or willingness to obtain) are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Forklift and DOT certifications (or willingness to get certified).

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up materials as needed.
• Load and unload trucks safely.
• Keep track of inventory and help with regular counts.
• Organize and clean tools, materials, and the warehouse.
• Drive company vehicles when required.
• Maintain paperwork like logs and transfer forms.
• Help keep shop vehicles in good condition.
• Support building and fleet maintenance when needed.
• Follow safety rules and keep your workspace clean and organized.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.
