Job summary

PPG in Sylmar, CA is seeking a Master Scheduler to join our manufacturing team onsite. You will develop and maintain production schedules, optimize capacity, and drive on‑time delivery.

You will translate forecasts into finite schedules, analyze capacity, identify bottlenecks, and collaborate with Procurement, Production and Sales to ensure material readiness and accurate delivery lead times. Reports to the Purchasing and Logistics Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or Business Administration.
• 3+ years of experience in production planning, materials control, or scheduling in manufacturing/engineering.
• Advanced proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and Advanced Excel are mandatory.
• Industry credentials (ASCM/APICS) are highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain rolling production schedules (12–16 weeks).
• Translate forecasts and firm orders into finite-capacity schedules.
• Analyze capacity, identify bottlenecks, and run what-if scenarios.
• Balance loads and maximize resource utilization.
• Collaborate with Procurement, Production and Sales to ensure material readiness and accurate lead times.
• Monitor OTIF, schedule adherence and capacity utilization.
