Job summary

Avantor is seeking a Sr. Scheduler for our Bakersfield, CA office to plan, schedule, and coordinate production cycles ensuring materials and capacity meet demand.

You will maintain master production schedules and BOM data, analyze plant capacity, and collaborate with procurement, manufacturing and QA to resolve material issues and optimize inventory. This on-site role emphasizes schedule adherence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in operations/business management.
• 5 years experience in MRP/scheduling in a manufacturing environment.
• APICS CPIM certification or active pursuit is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills and ability to read manufacturing procedures.
• Ability to interpret complex documents and communicate scheduling information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and coordinate production cycles and master production schedules.
• Analyze capacity and resources to determine most efficient manufacturing approaches.
• Maintain BOMs and ensure timely release of production orders and transfers.
• Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, QA to resolve material issues and optimize inventory.
• Monitor schedule adherence and escalate to prevent shortages or delays.
