Job summary

Epiroc is hiring a Manufacturing Engineering Technician in Garland, TX. You will provide hands-on technical support to Manufacturing Engineering and Production, helping implement and improve processes, tooling, fixtures, and production methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum of 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, production support, industrial technology, maintenance, engineering support, or related technical field.
• Technical certificate or associate degree in Manufacturing Technology, Engineering Technology, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education, technical training, and relevant experience may be considered.
• Experience supporting Manufacturing Engineering activities is a plus.
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, production operations, engineering drawings, technical documentation, and Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and ability to learn manufacturing and engineering systems.

Responsibilities

• Support Manufacturing Engineers with implementation/improvement of processes, tooling, fixtures, equipment, and production methods.
• Troubleshoot production issues and collaborate with Engineering/Production teams to implement solutions.
• Develop/maintain/ improve work instructions, process docs, standard work, and manufacturing records.
• Collect/analyze production data for engineering studies, process improvements, standards, and CI initiatives.
• Participate in root cause investigations and support corrective actions related to production/quality.
• Assist with Lean Manufacturing initiatives including 5S/Kaizen/Poka-Yoke/waste reduction/standard work.
• Support installation/validation/implementation of equipment, tooling, fixtures, and production resources.
• Assist with plant layout changes, workstation improvements, material flow optimization, and process implementation.
• Support NPI activities by preparing production areas, tooling, documentation, materials, and processes.
• Provide direct technical support/training to production personnel on new processes/tooling/manufacturing methods.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with quality systems, safety standards, and ISO requirements.
