Job summary

Victaulic in Rock Island, TN, and Cookeville, TN seeks a hands-on Manufacturing Engineer to drive lean improvements on the shop floor. You’ll work with engineering, operations, and maintenance to improve productivity, reliability, and safety, while scaling operations for new equipment.

This onsite role requires a B.S. in manufacturing/industrial engineering, 3+ years of experience, and proficiency with CAD tools. Travel up to 10% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of engineering experience in manufacturing or industrial settings.
• Experience with solid modeling software (AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks).
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Analytical, detail-oriented and proactive problem solver.
• Willingness to travel up to 10%.

Responsibilities

• Lead lean manufacturing and 5S initiatives as assigned.
• Learn, run, and program automated and robotic equipment.
• Improve equipment utilization and workflow with a focus on efficiency.
• Partner with Quality on root cause analysis and countermeasures for defects.
• Pinpoint top causes of equipment downtime and fix them for good.
• Support maintenance with troubleshooting and preventive maintenance schedules.
• Pull data from multiple sources into production reports.
• Spot opportunities for new technology or equipment and justify it.
• Create, review, and update quality and production documentation.
• Lead or support capital project proposals and management.
• Flag safety concerns and help build the fix.
