Apex Systems is seeking an onsite Manufacturing Engineer for a Kings Mountain, NC-based role. The 6-month contract offers potential extension and a first-shift Monday–Friday schedule.

The position requires a BS in Manufacturing/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering with 4+ years of relevant experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication. The role emphasizes continuous improvement and collaboration within a supportive engineering team.

Formación

• BS degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.
• 4+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a similar field.
• Demonstrated problem-solving, risk identification, and mitigation skills, both individually and in teamwork settings.
• Strong time management, prioritization, and communication skills.

Responsabilidades

• Assess and recommend manufacturing processes, techniques, equipment, gauging, IT systems, and tooling to achieve zero defects.
• Utilize workforce knowledge and current practices to introduce and implement new manufacturing processes, products, and projects.
• Evaluate new technologies and systems for integration into existing processes and products.
• Develop cost-effective engineering solutions adaptable to product and volume changes.
• Perform benchmarking and apply best practices locally and globally within the engineering organization.
• Create project plans, participate in pre-studies, theoretical volume capacity scenarios, monitor activities, and secure stakeholder agreement.
• Understand the needs of both internal and external customers.
• Clearly present ideas, problems, and solutions in written and verbal communication.
• Collaborate with a team mindset to creatively solve problems and deescalate potential conflicts.
• Proactively identify potential problems and take actions to minimize risks.
• Maintain a continuous improvement mindset focused on waste elimination, employee engagement, and promoting a safe and clean working environment.
