Job summary

EPITEC in Athens, GA seeks a Manufacturing Engineer 1 to support production and assembly by analyzing processes, troubleshooting issues, and driving efficiency. You will collaborate with engineering, quality, operations, logistics, and supply chain to meet safety, quality, productivity, and cost goals.

The ideal candidate has 0–2 years of manufacturing or engineering experience, a foundation in Lean manufacturing, and basic CAD knowledge.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering required.
0–2 years of engineering or manufacturing experience preferred.
Internship experience may be considered toward relevant experience.
Understanding of manufacturing processes, methods, technologies, and production principles.
Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
Experience with CAD or engineering design software.

Responsibilities

Perform technical analysis of manufacturing processes to identify opportunities for safety, quality, productivity, and efficiency.
Troubleshoot day-to-day manufacturing and process issues, develop solutions, and monitor improvements.
Support tooling acquisition, fabrication, modification, and repair.
Conduct time, motion, methods, and process studies to establish production standards.
Interpret drawings and technical documentation.
Analyze and implement engineering change notices in manufacturing.
Perform quality checks on equipment and support corrective actions.
