Job summary

Regal Rexnord is seeking an entry‑level Manufacturing Engineer I in Radford, Virginia to support daily operations and drive continuous improvements. You will collaborate across production, quality, maintenance, and supply chain to design and optimize processes, tooling, and work methods.

Responsibilities include implementing process controls, documenting procedures, supporting new product introductions, and applying lean principles to boost safety, quality, and productivity.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical Engineering/related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office software.
• Able to use basic mechanical measurement equipment (ie: calipers, micrometers, indicators).
• Able to read and interpret drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Implement process controls that ensure customer specifications are consistently realized.
• Establish and improve appropriate documentation for processes and equipment (Work Instructions, Standard Work, Setup Sheets, Drawings, etc.).
• Work with Design Engineering to support introduction of new products, including cost estimates, tooling design, prototyping, and FMEA activity
• Apply lean manufacturing principles to drive continuous improvements related to quality and productivity, Identify and eliminate bottlenecks
• Lead problem solving efforts related to product, process, and equipment issues by driving to root cause and implementing permanent corrective action
• Identify cost saving opportunities related to Labor, Yield, Throughput, etc.
• Procure capital and manage projects focused on continuous improvement
• Determine root cause and create repair plans for discrepant material
• Utilize CAD software to create 3D models and proper engineering drawings
