Job summary

Yugo is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure safety and upkeep across the community. You will act as a liaison between residents and management, performing repairs, inspections, and preventive maintenance to preserve property value.

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, you will handle work orders, emergencies, and routine tasks, while maintaining a professional image and complying with safety standards at an onsite Tempe property.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year of maintenance experience, including HVAC, plumbing, and electrical.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with technology and online systems.
• Carbon Literacy Certification or willingness to undertake training.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders efficiently and professionally.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests, emergencies, and concerns with excellent service.
• Perform general maintenance and repairs (plumbing, electrical, painting, appliances, carpentry).
• Conduct routine inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify issues.
• Maintain appearance, safety, and functionality of the property and spaces.
• Prepare vacant units for new residents with repairs and inspections.
• Maintain pools, spas, and related equipment per safety requirements.
• Participate in on-call and after-hours emergency maintenance as scheduled.
• Maintain inventory levels for tools and supplies; keep storage organized.
• Follow OSHA guidelines and company safety standards; participate in safety training.
• Communicate with leadership and management about work orders and needs.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors to ensure quality work.
• Maintain professional relationships with residents, team members, and vendors.
• Assist with additional maintenance projects to support operations.
