Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician 3 in San Diego, CA. The role performs technical and mechanical work to keep buildings and common areas clean, safe, and functional, with weekend on-call requirements.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of property maintenance experience is required.
• Maintenance, or at least handyman experience required.
• Basic electrical and plumbing experience required.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs.
• Completes the “make-ready” process to prepare vacant apartment homes for leasing, including inspections and punch lists.
• Obtains materials, coordinates with vendors, and tracks inventory for maintenance tasks.
• Documents and files service requests accurately for tracking and reporting.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities by cleaning, painting, and basic upkeep.
• Supports cost-saving by repairing rather than replacing parts where feasible.
