Job summary

CAF Management - Trailside is hiring an Assistant Maintenance Technician to support on-site apartment communities with timely repairs, preventive maintenance, and resident service requests. You’ll work with the maintenance team to ensure safety, quality, and resident satisfaction.

This hands-on role values a strong work ethic, willingness to learn, and the ability to operate independently or as part of a team. Previous maintenance experience and a valid driver’s license are preferred.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of apartment maintenance tasks (plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances).
• Strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Availability to work Saturdays and participate in on-call rotation as needed.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Respond to service requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Assist with apartment turns, repairs, and unit inspections.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, and appliance issues.
• Help maintain community grounds, amenities, and common areas.
• Work with vendors and maintenance team to complete larger projects.
• Ensure all work complies with safety guidelines and company standards.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and supply inventory.
• Communicate clearly with residents and team members to ensure satisfaction.
