Job summary

Zekelman Industries’ Wheatland Tube division in Rochelle, IL is hiring a Maintenance Manager to lead daily maintenance activities, drive safety and reliability, and support continuous improvement in a fast-paced plant. You will supervise a skilled team, manage budgets, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership, problem-solving, and the ability to coordinate across maintenance and operations to boost uptime and reduce costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum five years of mechanical/electrical supervisory experience in heavy industry.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and maintenance management systems.
• Ability to read technical drawings and schematics.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and direct daily maintenance staff activities via scheduling and coaching.
• Drive safety programs and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs, controlling quality and costs.
• Collaborate with teams to minimize downtime and improve production.
• Guide R&M and manpower budgeting, and oversee spare parts inventory.
• Lead capital projects and provide technical support during breakdowns.
