Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care under the direction of an RN or licensed provider. The role includes assessment, documentation, patient education, and contribution to safety and quality of care in an on-site setting in Akron, OH.

Responsibilities include data collection, patient care planning, medication administration, and collaboration with the care team.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited LPN program.
• Current Ohio LPN license.
• BLS certification required; additional certifications may be required depending on assignment.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN supervision.
• Collect and monitor patient data including specimens and labs.
• Participate in developing and implementing patient care and discharge plans under RN direction.
• Safely administer prescribed medications and injections; monitor for adverse reactions.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health, treatments, and self-care.
• Document all aspects of patient care per hospital policies.
• Adhere to regulatory standards and ACH policies; maintain a safe environment.
• Collaborate with care team; pursue ongoing education; perform additional duties as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
