Job summary

Akron Children's is seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing care under the direction of an RN or licensed provider. You will assess, plan, deliver, and document patient care, support patient and family education, and uphold ACH standards for quality and safety.

This is a part-time, on-site role with 20 hours per week, dayshift, in Ohio. Ideal candidates have an accredited LPN education, an active Ohio license, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current Ohio LPN license.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office/EMR software preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN supervision.
• Collect and monitor patient data, including specimens and labs.
• Develop and implement care and discharge plans with RN direction.
• Safely administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health and self-care.
• Document patient care in accordance with hospital policies.
