Job summary

Akron Children's Hospital in Austintown Township, OH is seeking a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide skilled nursing support under RN supervision. You will assist in assessment, planning, delivering, and documenting patient care, while supporting patient and family education in a collaborative care setting.

The role requires an Ohio LPN license, BLS, and 1 year of relevant experience preferred; EMR (Epic) and MS Office familiarity is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited school of licensed practical nursing.
• Current, valid LPN license in the state of Ohio.
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Minimum one year of relevant experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate nursing care under RN or provider supervision.
• Collect data, monitor labs, and communicate changes promptly.
• Develop and implement care and discharge plans under RN direction.
• Safely administer medications and treatments as ordered.
• Educate patients, families, and caregivers on health and self-care.
• Document care per hospital policies and nursing standards.
• Maintain a safe, clean environment and report safety concerns.
• Collaborate with care team and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
