Job summary

Final Mile in Illinois seeks an on-site Hub Customer Service Specialist to build strong relationships with customer contacts at their office and earn their trust as part of the hub team. You will support daily operations and ensure accurate information flows.

Responsibilities include answering general questions, communicating needs to the team, providing shipment status updates, scheduling appointments, retrieving paperwork, and finalizing data for invoicing.

Qualifications

• 5–10 years in a transportation or shipping role.
• 2 years in a customer service role.
• General knowledge of LTL, TL, and IML transportation modes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Detail-oriented, organized, and customer-focused.

Responsibilities

• Develop a strong relationship with customer contacts and gain their trust as a member of the Hub team on site at the customer's office.
• Answer general customer questions.
• Communicate customer needs to the rest of the Hub team.
• Provide shipment status updates upon request.
• Schedule appointments.
• Retrieve paperwork for delivered shipments.
• Finalize shipment data for invoicing.
• Perform additional duties to support the customer on site as needed.
