Job summary

Rollout Systems is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator to be onsite, supporting a government software hosting facility and enterprise IT for a warfighter customer. You will deploy and maintain hardware, VMs and containers, manage backups and security, and provide customer guidance.

The role requires a TS-level clearance, a BS/BA in a related field, and hands-on Linux with networking experience. Expect Agile collaboration and strong documentation duties.

Qualifications

• 3-8 years of experience in a government software hosting facility.
• Experience maintaining physical and virtual hosts.
• Experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software on servers/workstations.
• Experience backups, disaster recovery, and managing user accounts/permissions.
• Documentation of knowledge base, incident responses and system configurations.
• Experience providing technical support to customers with guidance and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering solutions for various problem sets and customers in a government hosting facility.
• Deploy and maintain physical/virtual hardware, VMs and containers.
• Perform routine maintenance and configuration changes on hosts.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software on servers/workstations/IT equipment.
• Maintain system backups and disaster recovery plans.
• Manage user accounts and permissions.
• Deploy and maintain software applications.
• Troubleshoot technical issues.
• Maintain documentation including knowledge base and configurations.
• Provide customer support and best-practices guidance.
• Secure information systems to current DoD guidance.
• Maintain security posture through monitoring and reporting.
• Participate in Agile project planning.
• Provide networking support to on-premises infrastructure.
• Understand Linux and virtual networking.
