Job summary

Vallen is seeking an Onsite Technician II in Houston, TX, focused on Life Safety Services. You will install, inspect, test, and maintain life safety systems for established customers on a scheduled basis, conducting service calls and ensuring accurate reporting for invoicing.

The role requires strong communication, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work in varied environments with safety as a priority. CDL may be required for hazardous materials delivery and travel.

Qualifications

• Must have strong communication skills.
• Mechanically inclined and able to use hand tools.
• Ability to read, write, and comprehend English for instructions and reports.
• Current Motor Vehicle License with good driving record, CDL if carrying hazardous materials.

Responsibilities

• Conduct service calls and on-site maintenance of life safety systems.
• Perform testing and inspections to prescribed standards (ITM).
• Troubleshoot on-site issues and document repair and testing results.
• Ensure proper documentation for invoicing and records.
• Install Life Safety Systems including Fire Alarm, Detection, and related equipment.
• Assist in shipping/receiving and warehouse tasks as needed.
