Job summary

Vallen is seeking a Lead Onsite Technician for the Safety Services group. You will lead technicians in installing, inspecting, testing, and maintaining life safety systems at customer sites on a scheduled basis.

The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, relevant fire protection certifications, and experience with life safety systems. You will coordinate with customers, train staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards in a field-based environment.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• Minimum 4 Certifications in a fire protection related field.
• NICET II or greater.
• Fire Alarm & Ext A and 5+ years' experience or WBS Construction and 5+ years' experience.
• RME-I (if applicable).
• Mechanically inclined.
• Excellent communication, initiative and problem-solving skills.
• Relevant experience installing/maintaining life safety systems and equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality service and adherence to Vallen SOPs.
• May manage scheduling and lead on-site teams.
• Coordinate with customers to plan job activities.
• Prepare and submit accurate task documentation for invoicing.
• Ensure required documentation is provided to the customer.
• Maintain knowledge of applicable regulatory standards (OSHA, NFPA).
• Manage parts & equipment requests and keep inventories current.
• Assist warehouse with order fulfillment as needed.
