Job summary

BSN SPORTS, a Varsity Brands company, is seeking a Team Lead for our Production/Warehouse in Indianapolis. You will support the Operations team to remove roadblocks and drive KPI performance in safety, quality, delivery, and productivity.

Responsibilities include maintaining a Lean work environment, resolving daily issues with the team, identifying training gaps with the coach, and championing SOPs. Flexibility for shifts and overtime is required.

• Great attention to detail and organization skills.
• Computer literate with knowledge and proficiency in Microsoft Office, knowledge in SAP a plus.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts in support of the operation.
• Thrives on solving problems in both traditional and creative ways.

Responsibilities

• Provide a safe, healthy, and welcoming working environment in a Lean culture for all team members.
• Communicate with team members to resolve issues to attain daily productivity, quality, and delivery goals.
• Partner with department Coach to identify training gaps and develop action plan per team member.
• Be a champion of the department’s SOPs.
• Partner to find the most efficient process and suggest improvements where needed/identified; encourages team members to provide suggestions.
• Identify and resolve small conflicts within department; work closely with Supervisor/Manager to resolve larger conflicts.
• Tactically understands department metrics and what impacts them; able to make recommendations on labor shifting, when business dictates.
