Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Site Manager to lead the delivery of automated material handling and sortation system projects on-site. This hands‑on leadership role involves overseeing installation, pre‑operation, and commissioning, ensuring safety, timely delivery, and top quality standards.

You will act as the primary on‑site contact, coordinating multiple teams and contractors, managing resources, maintaining customer relationships, and driving successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience leading on-site installation and commissioning.
• Strong coordination with project teams, customers, and contractors.
• Ability to manage manpower and four-week look-ahead planning.
• Excellent site documentation and reporting skills.
• Commitment to health, safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day site installation activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
• Coordinate with the Project Manager, customers, general contractors, subcontractors, and other trades to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage manpower, resources, and a rolling four‑week look‑ahead plan.
• Coordinate material deliveries, equipment, tools, and site logistics.
• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily logs and weekly progress reports.
• Champion health, safety, and quality standards across the project.
• Support testing, commissioning, customer training, and project handover.
• Resolve on‑site issues and upscale technical or commercial matters where required.
• Build strong customer relationships through clear communication and proactive problem‑solving.
• Monitor project progress, identify change orders, and help mitigate project risks.
• Ensure accurate timekeeping and payroll submissions for site personnel.
• Take ownership of project delivery while maintaining a flexible, hands‑on approach.
