Actalent is seeking a Lab Technician in Alsip, IL to perform sensory, physical, and chemical testing on finished products and to ensure quality specifications are met. You will handle BOM evaluation, data recording in LIMS, and cooperate on corrective actions while adhering to GMP/GLP.

The role splits time between laboratory testing and manufacturing floor audits, with 2nd/3rd shift flexibility and first-shift training. A 1st shift introduction is planned, with permanent evenings possible.

Formación

• Bachelor-level degree or equivalent with lab experience.
• 612 months of quality-focused work in lab/manufacturing preferred.
• Hands-on wet chemistry experience with viscosity, pH, moisture, and related tests.
• Experience in laboratory settings (academic or industry).
• Ability to follow instructions and document testing clearly.
• Ability to communicate effectively with individuals and groups.
• Proficient English reading/writing.
• Ability to perform product tasting for sensory evaluation.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Willingness to work 2nd or 3rd shift and train on 1st shift.

Responsabilidades

• Perform sensory, physical, and chemical tests on finished products.
• Evaluate BOM for completeness and proper documentation.
• Record data in LIMS and ensure timely release of products.
• Report nonconformances and document corrective actions in LIMS.
• Inspect equipment, storage, and sanitation; follow GMP/GLP.
