Engineering Resource Group is seeking a QC Laboratory Technician for a long-term temporary assignment in Newark, NJ. You will perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process batches and finished product against established specifications.

The role requires hands-on QC testing experience in manufacturing, knowledge of lab instrument calibration, and ability to work with ERP and lab information systems. Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.

Responsabilités

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process batches and finished product against established specifications.
• Receive, label, store and log samples; select appropriate test methods.
• Record test data accurately and report out-of-spec findings to QC management.
• Identify, segregate and quarantine nonconforming material; recommend dispositions or production holds as needed.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain lab instruments; track calibration due dates.
• Maintain lab supply inventory and transactions in the ERP system.
• Review and revise lab procedures; support customer complaint investigations.

• Long-term temporary (9 to 18 month) 2nd shift position for a QC Laboratory Technician supporting a specialty chemical manufacturing operation.
• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process batches and finished product against established specifications.
• Receive, prepare, label, store and log samples; select the appropriate test methods for each analysis.
• Record test data accurately, analyze results and report out-of-spec findings to QC management.
• Identify, segregate and quarantine nonconforming material; recommend disposition or production holds as needed.
• Calibrate, clean and maintain lab instruments; track calibration due dates.
• Maintain lab supply inventory and transactions in the ERP system.
• Review and revise lab procedures with the QC Manager; support customer complaint investigations.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or related science preferred.
• Hands-on experience performing QC laboratory testing in a manufacturing environment.
• Working knowledge of lab instrument calibration and routine maintenance.
• Solid math skills for test calculations and data analysis.
• Working knowledge of safe chemical handling and lab safety practices.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office; ability to learn ERP and laboratory information systems.
• Ability to complete a structured lab technician training program and maintain required certifications.
• Ability to work 2nd shift (3:00pm to 11:30pm) for the full assignment.
• QC experience in chemical, additives or process manufacturing a plus.
