Job summary

Zing Recruiting is hiring a Quality Lab Technician for our client, a leading food manufacturing company in Bedford Park, Illinois. The role focuses on inspecting and testing raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and company standards.

Shifts offered are 2nd (2:00 PM - 10:30 PM) at $24/hr and 3rd (10:00 PM - 6:30 AM) at $25/hr, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years of overall work experience.
• Laboratory or Quality Control experience required.
• Food manufacturing experience preferred but not required.
• ERP system experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.

Responsibilities

• Log and manage samples within the Quality Control lab.
• Perform chemical and physical testing on products and incoming ingredients.
• Enter test results into the ERP system and determine product acceptance or rejection.
• Perform basic equipment calibrations.
• Troubleshoot laboratory equipment and quality deviations.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic work environment.
• Perform Food Safety monitoring and verification on the production floor.
• Conduct internal GMP inspections.
• Support the Environmental Monitoring Program.
• Complete administrative and other QC tasks as needed.
• Provide support to other team members when needed.
