Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform QC testing on materials and products in a food manufacturing setting. The role involves wet chemistry and microbiology analyses, viscosity measurements, and data entry for QA reporting.

The candidate will follow GMP and safety protocols, document results, and contribute to continuous quality improvements while supporting cross-functional teams on site at Horn Lake, MS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 12 years of lab/quality control experience.
• Familiarity with wet chemistry techniques and lab analysis.
• Knowledge of FDA GMP standards in a food manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality control testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Conduct analyses using wet chemistry, microbiology, and other techniques.
• Measure viscosity and other physical/chemical properties as required.
• Document results and enter data into systems for QA reporting.
• Follow GMP, safety, and laboratory SOPs in daily work.
• Communicate deviations and support continuous improvement initiatives.
