Job summary

GenScript is seeking a Construction Project Manager in Piscataway, NJ to lead renovations, interior fit-outs, and facility upgrades in occupied spaces. You will plan, coordinate design, manage bids, and ensure regulatory compliance while minimizing disruption to ongoing operations.

The role requires a mechanical/electrical/biomedical engineering or construction management background with 5+ years in similar projects. Procore, MS Project, and Primavera P6 experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management.
• Experience with interior renovations, fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Direct hands-on coordination of design, test-fits, cost evaluation, and MEP studies.
• HVAC experience and renovations of labs/biopharma spaces preferred.
• Able to identify and resolve technical and communication issues.

Responsibilities

• Visit potential sites to evaluate feasibility, constraints, and cost implications.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and design firms to define requirements and timelines.
• Manage bidding, contracting for design services and long-lead equipment.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
• Manage performance, safety, schedules, and occupancy impacts.
• Provide weekly progress reports and escalate issues.
• Oversee FAT, commissioning, and validation to meet user requirements and standards.
