Job summary

GenScript USA Inc./ProBio Inc. in Piscataway, NJ is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead interior renovations and facility upgrades. You will plan, coordinate design, and manage execution in occupied spaces with minimal disruption and strong emphasis on safety and cGMP standards.

The role requires 5+ years of renovation project management, HVAC experience, and cross-functional leadership. Onsite work and collaboration with internal teams are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on interior renovations and facility fit-outs.
• Direct hands-on experience with design coordination, test-fits, cost evaluation, and MEP studies.
• Experience managing HVAC projects; interior renovation of laboratories, cleanrooms, or biopharmaceutical spaces is highly desired.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Visit potential sites to evaluate feasibility, constraints, and costs.
• Coordinate with design firms to define requirements and establish timelines.
• Manage bidding, contracting, and procurement for design services and construction.
• Negotiate and administer contracts with consultants and suppliers, ensuring quality and schedules.
• Oversee renovation work in occupied facilities and report progress to management.
• Organize FAT, commissioning, and validation activities to meet user requirements.
