Job summary

GenScript is seeking a Construction Project Manager to lead interior renovations and fit-outs at its Piscataway, NJ site on a 12-18 month contract. The role emphasizes planning, design coordination, execution, commissioning, and validation while minimizing disruption in occupied facilities.

Qualifications include 5+ years in construction project management, a relevant engineering/management degree, and hands-on experience with design coordination and MEP studies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in construction project management, with a focus on interior renovations, facility fit-outs, and upgrades.
• Direct hands-on experience with project design coordination, test-fits, cost evaluation, and MEP system studies.
• Experience managing HVAC projects; prior labs/biopharma renovation experience is highly desirable.
• Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical and communication issues in renovation projects.

Responsibilities

• Visit potential sites to evaluate feasibility, constraints, and cost implications of renovation projects.
• Coordinate with stakeholders and design firms to define requirements, develop test fits, cost estimates, and timelines.
• Manage bidding and contracting for design, construction, and long-lead equipment for interiors.
• Oversee coordination between design teams, contractors, and stakeholders; document decisions and resolve issues.
