LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a client to hire an Accountant for a direct-hire opportunity in Cincinnati, OH. This position is ideal for a recent accounting graduate or early-career professional looking to build hands‑on experience while developing a strong foundation in general accounting.

This is a fully onsite position where you will work alongside an experienced accounting team and support general ledger accounting, month‑end close, reconciliations, and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting is required.
• 1–2 years of accounting experience preferred; strong internship considered.
• Foundational understanding of GAAP, general ledger accounting, journal entries, and reconciliations.
• Strong Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, and formulas.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail.
• Motivated, team‑oriented professional with the ability to manage multiple priorities and a willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

• Support the monthly close process, ensuring accounting activity is completed accurately and within deadlines.
• Prepare and post journal entries, including accruals, prepaids, and recurring entries.
• Complete general ledger, bank, balance sheet, and intercompany reconciliations.
• Review financial results and analyze variances between actuals, budgets, and prior periods.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and maintain documentation for accounting and audit purposes.
• Collaborate with internal teams as a liaison for transactional accounting.
