Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 1+ years of accounting experience, including reconciliations, journal entries, and month-end close responsibilities.
• Understanding of generally accepted accounting principles and financial reporting concepts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience with an ERP or financial management system is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Participate in monthly accounting close activities by ensuring financial transactions are recorded accurately and deadlines are met.
• Prepare and enter journal entries, including recurring transactions, accruals, and prepaid adjustments.
• Perform account reconciliations and research discrepancies to ensure data integrity.
• Analyze financial results and explain fluctuations compared to budgets, forecasts, and prior periods.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and other general ledger accounts.
• Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting schedules for internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain organized accounting records and supporting documentation in line with internal controls.
• Coordinate with operational departments to gather, review, and validate information needed for accurate financial reporting.
• Support tracking and reporting related to capital projects and fixed asset activity.
• Assist with cash management responsibilities, including monitoring balances and processing funding requests.
• Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting efforts.
• Provide assistance during audits and respond to requests from accounting leadership.
• Recommend and support process improvements that strengthen financial controls.
