Job summary

GovCIO is hiring an IT Service Technician to provide onsite support for our federal customer in San Antonio, TX. This full-time position is onsite with occasional travel for site coverage. You will work with support teams, customers and technical staff to resolve issues and maintain networks and servers.

Candidates must obtain A+, ITIL Foundation, HDI and one of Security+, Network+, or Server+ within six months of hire; GovCIO will reimburse certification costs. US Citizenship required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• US Citizenship required.
• Strong technical proficiency and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide onsite IT support and resolve problems with support teams.
• Coordinate maintenance for networks/servers and assist with repairs.
• Install operating system patches and upgrades via SCCM.
• Assist with telework support and VPN/Citrix access.
• Perform hardware replacements and asset inventory tasks.
• Ensure devices are encrypted and disposed of properly.
• Provide onsite training for customer support personnel.
