Job summary

Vista Global Solutions, LLC is seeking a Desktop Support Specialist to provide tiered IT support at Fort Sam Houston in San Antonio, TX. The role requires hands-on desktop and printer support, knowledge of ITIL processes, and ServiceNow ticketing in a government contracting environment.

The ideal candidate will hold a Security+ certification, be a U.S. citizen, and pass a DHA background check. On-site work with potential after-hours duties is expected.

Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification is required.
• Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a Government background investigation (T3 for suitability).
• May be required to consent to and provide documentation supporting basic immunization/vaccination status (including vaccination for COVID-19) to DHA HQ.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the full array of Help Desk services, including ticketing, system and operational support, and troubleshooting onsite or remotely.
• Develop and update a knowledge base to assist Help Desk personnel with accurate user guidance.
• Perform stress and performance tests on computer hardware components.
• Map network drives, install peripherals, and configure software settings remotely.
• Set up, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PCs and standard software packages.
• Participate in inventory control and maintain equipment hand receipts.
• Contribute to weekly technical meetings to share resolutions to issues.
• Document all tickets with troubleshooting steps and resolutions.”] ,
