Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking an IT Support Specialist in New Jersey to provide hands-on IT and help desk support to office and production employees in a contract manufacturing environment.

You will troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues, set up desktops, assist with server tasks, document procedures, and communicate clearly with users at all levels. Onsite schedule is Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:30 PM and Friday 7:00–11:00 AM.

Qualifications

• Available to work onsite Monday–Thursday 7:00 AM–4:30 PM, and Friday 7:00 AM–11:00 AM.
• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
• Prior IT support, help desk, or desktop support experience.
• Working knowledge of operating systems, desktop hardware, and basic networking.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day technical support to users by troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues.
• Respond to help desk requests by diagnosing problems and implementing solutions.
• Support desktop and workstation setup, configuration, maintenance, and performance.
• Assist with server and network administration tasks following established procedures.
• Identify recurring issues and recommend system improvements.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and user guides.
• Balance project-based work with break/fix support in a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate clearly with users at all levels of the organization.
